Aston Villa have announced that Kosta Nedeljković will be departing the club.
Nedeljković is moving away from Villa Park to link up with Rangers, with the Scottish side securing him for the entire campaign on loan. The arrangement additionally features a contingent purchase clause.
Nedeljković commented that he was thrilled about the move, describing Rangers as a prestigious institution and a close-knit community, and expressing his eagerness to sign and contribute to the squad’s achievements.
He noted that after conversations with the manager, the choice was straightforward, with Rangers being his sole preference. He acknowledged it represents a significant chance coupled with considerable accountability. He emphasized his commitment to maintaining optimism and putting in diligent work to ensure he can assist the side.
Rangers boss Derek McInnes stated that the club was delighted to acquire such a skilled youngster.
McInnes observed that Nedeljković has already accumulated meaningful experience competing at senior level in both England and Germany, alongside earning caps for his country Serbia. He described the defender as robust and lively, keen to push forward but equally determined to engage in defensive duties and contests. McInnes indicated this acquisition would enhance an important position within the team.
He added that he anticipated greeting Nedeljković at Rangers and developing their working relationship going forward.
